Het donkergroene zachte loof maakt de Ellwoodii tot één van de populairste coniferen. Gemakkelijk te bewerken met spuitsneeuw, glitters, enz. kun je van alles met deze planten uithalen.
Waarom nu actueel?
Kleine planten worden eindeloos toegepast in plantenbakken om arrangementen mee te maken. Maar ook grote exemplaren lenen zich hiervoor om te combineren met Gaulteria, Skimmia of andere winterheestertjes. Kortom, de Ellwoodii kan in de winter niet ontbreken op de winkelvloer.
